Welcome to CES Charlotte, North Carolina, the undisputed leader in sports performance training for professional and amateur athletes in the Charlotte area. We train elite-level athletes in sport-specific, position-specific, and movement-specific drills. Our athletes already know the techniques of their sport - we teach their bodies how to perform at a new level, gaining speed, agility, and strength.

The combination of increasing levels of competition for both youth and amateur tennis athletes as well as the inability of tennis coaches to produce measurable improvements in flexibility, agility, strength, and endurance has directly resulted in the exclusive partnership between Competitive Edge Sports Charlotte and All Court Tennis Inc.
This partnership ultimately led to the creation of the Tennis Fitness Academy.
The Tennis Fitness Academy (TFA) offers world class movement specific and sport specific training based on specific resistance, over-speed, and tennis-based reaction drills derived from the unparalleled training system at Competitive Edge Sports. In addition, it offerspersonal instruction from a United States Professional Tennis Association Certified, Professional 1 Rated, Tennis Professional Raul Rodriguez.

"TFA will teach you the Modern Tennis game! Athletes will be able to unleash their energy through the kinetic chain technique. The most effective tennis strokes begin with leg drive generating ground reaction forces that can be transferred up the segments of the kinetic chain to the racket. Loading your weight on the outside leg and uncoiling your hips and shoulders helps a player uncoil and explode into a Modern style forehand!"
Tennis athletes of all ages, levels of athleticism, and skill levels are eligible to train in the TFA and due to the high demand, will be trained in groups based on the above criteria. An athlete training with the TFA program will complete one training session per week, with a duration time of 90 minutes per session. Each training session focuses on an appropriate combination of flexibility, agility, reaction speed, tennis specific resistance drills, and tennis specific over-speed drills as well as group competitions. Training in the TFA is a completely different training experience compared to most tennis regimens, but this high intensity tennis-specific workout guarantees improvements in footwork, coordination, lower body strength, and racquet speed. The results produce a more dynamic performance on the court.
The Tennis Fitness Academy asks for a minimum commitment of 4 training sessions to allow each athlete’s body time to adjust to the training regimens and improve on the performance aspects that are being trained.
* If you are interested in training in the TFA but you are not eligible for current training groups, please call 704.999.1629 or email info@ces-charlotte.com and include your name, age, tennis experience, and contact information so that we can contact you as soon as you are eligible for a TFA group training session.
The Tennis Fitness Academy will begin training the Adult Division on Friday June 25th at Northstone Country Club in Huntersville, NC. Only adult athletes are eligible to participate in the TFA at this point in time, but additional groups will be added soon.
